Boise: A Hub for Trade in Idaho
Boise, Idaho has a rich history. The area was originally home to the Northern Paiute and Shoshone tribes. In the early 19th century French-Canadian fur trappers named the area "Les Bois," meaning "wooded," referring to lush trees growing along the Boise River.
